Elizabeth Pearce’s background is in business and investment, but for the past decade she has been involved with emerging technologies in GreenTech, CleanTech, AgTech and FireTech. She is an investor in Athena Intelligence, which has an artificial intelligence model which allows humans insights into the conditions and wildfire risk of the terrain. This model has been used by large and small electric utilities in many states and is incorporated into Community Wildfire Protection Plans.

In her first career, she worked for a number of investment firms and ran a $160 million small cap mutual fund, earning 4 stars from Morningstar. Areas of specialty included the energy industry, insurance and specialty finance companies and retail. She has an undergraduate degree in History and an MBA, both from University of California, Berkeley and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
